Laurel Canyon Home
Nestled in the heart of Laurel Canyon—a neighborhood celebrated for its rich artistic history and eclectic charm-this home, owned by the renowned mosaic artists, the Scharff’s, was already a living work of art.
Every corner reflected the artist's personal expression, with vibrant pops of color and custom touches woven into the fabric of the space.
My approach to staging this extraordinary home was centered on honoring and highlighting the craftsmanship and creativity already present. Rather than competing with the home's unique character, the goal was to elevate it-creating harmony between the bold artistic elements and the lush, natural beauty of the surrounding canyon landscape.
To complement the existing energy, I incorporated organic textures, natural materials, and Bohemian-inspired pieces that felt authentic to the home's spirit. These elements helped soften and ground the vibrant interiors, while still celebrating the eccentric and soulful nature of both the space and the neighborhood.
Working with such a magical and creatively rich home was a true honor—a chance to stage a space that doesn't just tell a story, but lives and breathes as one.
